Netflix has announced the premiere date of limited series “Maniac” which has been written by a well-known novelist“Patrick Somerville”. In October 2016, it was already announced that the writer would write the Netflix series Maniac. Thus it has proved to be the most anticipated and popular series of 2018.
The following series is directed by “Cary Fukunuga”. He is known for directing 2009 Sin Nombre, 2011Jane Eyre and one of the most popular and outstanding HBO series True detective. After his amazing work in 2015 Beasts of no nation, it’s been a long since we have happened to see his work. Though the wait is over now as the 10-episode seriesManiac is said to be launched on September 21st, 2018.
Well the Netflix keeps most of his adaptions under wraps, though it has revealed tons of TV-series which are going to be aired by the end of 2018.
Maniac is a black comedy series based on 2014 Norwegian series starring Emma Stone as Annie Landsberg and Jonah Hill as Owen Milgrim. It follows the story of two strangers involved in mysterious drug treatment. The both actors play the role of patients who are broken and miserable and have faced many tragic incidents and events. Another lead role of Dr. James k. (Justin Theroux) who invented a drug/pills and asserted that he can rehabilitate any kind of mental and emotional pain through his pills without any side effects.
It is still surprising though people has been gossiping about it. It will probably the most trendy and prominent series of 2018, thanks to Emma Stone. Rest of it is still under covers and there will be no word yet on till the series are launched.
