One SP, three DSPs and three SHOs suspended in Islamabad for security lapse

ISLAMABAD: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday took serious notice of the incident that took place at the Parliament House and directed for immediate suspension and charge-sheeting for one SP, three DSPs and three SHOs, who were held responsible for the security lapse.

The minister issued the directives while chairing a high-level meeting of Islamabad administration and police to review security situation in the capital in Islamabad on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the Sikh community staged demonstration in the Parliament House premises to protest against alleged desecration of their holy books and sites in Sindh.

The protesters chanting slogans forced their way into the Parliament House and occupied media rostrum.
