KARACHI: Muttihada Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday announced to observe a day of mourning across Sindh on Thursday (tomorrow) in protest against the abduction and killing of four of its supporters.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the MQM’s Rabita (Coordination) Committee has appealed to traders, businessmen and transporters in Sindh to keep their businesses shut on Thursday in protest of illegal abduction, violence and target killings, extortion practices and death threats, especially in Karachi.

Earlier in the day, four bullet-riddled bodies were recovered by police from Jam Goth in the Malir area of Karachi. The four had been kidnapped from Landhi area before being gunned down.
