OKARA: At least six persons hailing from a single family were overnight killed firing incident while they were asleep in their house located in the city area of Dipalpur.

According to details, Okara’s Tahir married Shahnaz of Hujra Shah Muqeem for love; however, her family did not accept her wedding. That is why, the two secretly commenced leading their life in Tara Singh village.

The girl’s father, Shauka Ali, as soon as he knew whereabouts of his daughter and son-in-law, barged into their house along with his sons and other accessories and opened gunfire indiscriminately.

According to police sources, the deceased include Tahir, his wife Shahnaz, two-year Areesh, eight-month Adnan, Tahir’s brother Sarwar and his cousin Hamza.
