Bilawal, Aseefa praise Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a frequent critic of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman’s policies, on Saturday hailed Imran Khan’s stance against inflation and extended his support to the PTI’s upcoming protest against inflation.

Earlier in the day, the PTI chairman Imran Khan in a press conference in Lahore announced to hold countrywide protest against price-hike on the December 22, saying that the government’s honeymoon period has ended and now it is opposition’s duty to hold it accountable for its policies.

Moreover, Bilawal’s sister and daughter of the late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, also praised the PTI chairman Imran Khan on Twitter for vowing to lead the anti-polio campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Her statement came a day after Imran Khan said that he would spearhead the anti-polio campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa next week as terrorists continued their attacks on polio teams in the tribal areas. The PTI leaders had said it would be an attempt to boost the morale of polio workers who are constantly facing threats to their lives.

Aseefa, who is also Pakistan’s goodwill ambassador for polio eradication, praised Imran Khan for taking the initiative and urged politicians to set political differences aside when it comes to matters of healthcare.
