Local bodies elections in KPK expected in last week of March: ECP sources

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected in last week of March next year while biometric system will only be used in tehsil Ghazi of district Haripur, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) sources said.

The ECP sources said that the commission is planning to organize local bodies elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in three phases.

The sources said that the ECP would start the process of preparing voter lists next month. After which, the election schedule for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be announced in January 2015.
