KARACHI, Pakistan: Misha Lakhani, among Pakistan’s most coveted designer labels, has launched her label’s Eid collection “Izmir”.

Izmir will be available at the brand’s flagship store in Karachi, and from the brand’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mishalakhani2012.

Izmir is a holiday inspired collection with an eclectic and modern take on Ottoman art and antique textiles, channeling versatile separates. The label has creatively woven together fractural formations, stripes, tiles, calligraphy and quintessential motifs of the era. The colour palette ranges from scuba blue and jade to ivory and terracotta and also features French Blue, rust, aquamarine, olive, red, emerald green and honey. Izmir is complemented by a diverse range of accessories comprising of layered jeweled belts, tassled belts, jhumka necklaces, wrap around leather belts and newly introduced clutches all designed In-House.

Speaking about the label’s Eid collection, Creative Head Misha Lakhani said, “Our Eid collection is a modern interpretation of Ottoman art, culture and textiles. True to our aesthetic and ethos, expect old-world charm through an eclectic mix of old crafts and modern ideas with a grown up bohemian vibe.”

Misha Lakhani is a prêt-à-porter and haute couture label born out of Karachi in 2012. Driven by a celebration of craftsmanship and heritage, the brand is always looking to reinterpret the traditions of handwork and couture techniques. With its rising popularity the brand is expanding into a second standalone store in Lahore, and will soon be available online through an independent e-commerce store.

His Royal Highnes conveyed his heartfelt acknowledgement to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu for the participation of Pakistan Air Force contingent comprising JF-17 Block-III fighter jets alongside air and ground crew in the Bahrain International Airshow. Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
