ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Two-day Hunza Cultural Festival would be organized here in federal capital at Ibex Sports Club from Dec 26.

“It is a moment of great pleasure that artisans of Hunza, residing in different parts of the country, will get the opportunity to get together. This event will get the attention at national and international level. We have started inviting artists and are getting very positive response,” said an official festival organizing committee.

He said that Hunza Cultural Forum (HCF) is organizing the annual cultural event that comes with thought provoking goals and objectives and that in previous years, people have appreciated the effort and participated in the events in large number.

The objectives of the event include bringing together and creating harmony among the people of Hunza at urban level. Promoting the poets and signers of local dialects (i.e Brushaski, Shina, Wakhi, Domaki).

Promoting and encouraging cottage industry of Hunza (wood, stone, Carpet and tourism in the region via highlighting cultural activities.
