LAHORE, Pakistan: The fashion designer Erum Khan [EK] made her first ramp appearance this year as she showcased her fairytale inspired prêt wear collection, The Untainted Shine, on the last day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 in Lahore. Her particular show boasted a full house.
The Untainted Shine collection, which has been inspired by royalty, features interesting motifs including 3D flowers, pearls and diamantes on rich fabrics such as organza, pure silk and georgettes. Special attention to detail has been given to the use of hand embroidered embellishments which includes some work done in Royal Gold. The color palette includes various shades of whites including macaroon cream, bone white and Scotch mist; perfect for wearing on summer evenings. The collection comprises of unique pieces such a high-waist skirts, crop tops, embellished jackets, button down shirts, boleros and sheer evening dresses. Popular actor and frontman of Jal, Goher Mumtaz walked the ramp along with his wife supermodel Anam Ahmad as showstoppers for the finale.
Speaking about the experience of showcasing at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, Erum Khan states, “My team and I have worked countless days and nights on this collection. I had a certain vision in mind while designing it, to achieve which required a lot of handwork. I do not believe in doing anything half-heartedly, which is why I personally worked on every piece with my team. Now that the collection has finally been showcased, the response has been overwhelming. The Untainted Shine collection is for girls and young women who are very comfortable in their own skin, and believe that clothes are meant to compliment and not overpower one’s personality”.
