Monitoring Desk: A shocking audio leak has surfaced in which Shoukat Nawaz Mir of Muzaffarabad is heard speaking with Khawaja Mehran of Mirpur, Azad Kashmir. In the conversation, both individuals are discussing ways to escalate the situation in Azad Kashmir.

According to the leaked audio, Shoukat Nawaz directs Mehran to gather the maximum number of people in Rawalakot and arrange for dead bodies (by killing people) so that the situation can be further inflamed. He also instructs Khawaja Mehran to assess the number of security personnel deployed in Rawalakot so they can plan accordingly and determine how much force would be required to create a law-and-order situation in the city.
It may be noted that Shoukat Nawaz is a leading figure of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC). Born in Muzaffarabad, Mir grew up in a family with strong political roots. His father was a close associate of former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan and an active member of the Muslim Conference. Security agencies have raised concerns about him in the past; however, his political maneuverability has often worked in his favor, allowing him to strengthen his position by exploiting political and social issues in Azad Kashmir.
The leaked telephone conversation is being cited by observers as evidence of how the law-and-order situation in Rawalakot was created and how the JAAC leadership was directly involved in the violence in the city. The audio also provides insight into the alleged planning behind the unrest.
According to analysts monitoring the situation, the violent and extremist face of the banned Joint Public Action Committee has been exposed through this act after audio leaks and other available information.
The Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij (TTP) has also reportedly issued a press release in support of the banned Joint Public Action Committee.
Anti-Pakistan social media accounts operating from abroad are also allegedly engaged in spreading misleading propaganda through fake news and AI-generated content.
Analysts say that the manner in which Indian and anti-Pakistan social media accounts supported the banned Joint Action Committee has exposed what they describe as the group’s external connections and intentions.
According to observers, within 48 to 72 hours, the alleged extremist mindset and Indian-linked narrative of the leaders of the banned Joint Action Committee were significantly exposed.
Experts believe that attacks on law enforcement agencies under the guise of protest have completely exposed what they describe as the group’s nefarious and destructive intentions.
“It is clear from the alleged desecration of dead bodies that the Action Committee has nothing to do with Islamic traditions and ethical values,” experts said.
Experts further note that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also referred to by the government as Fitna al-Khawarij, and the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) have expressed solidarity with JAAC. According to these analysts, the support extended by these groups to the banned Joint Action Committee demonstrates what they describe as the concern of their alleged handler, India, following the failure of efforts to create chaos in Azad Kashmir.
It may be mentioned that reports containing documentary evidence have suggested that Israel is also involved in efforts to create unrest in Pakistan, not only through the Afghan border but also by actively seeking to foment instability in Azad Kashmir.

According to official sources, the X account of the Joint Action Committee (JAAC), which claims to advocate for the rights of the people of Azad Kashmir, is being operated from Israel and is actively inciting unrest among the public.
JK-JAAC has long been accused of creating law-and-order problems in Azad Kashmir. During previous protest campaigns, it allegedly resorted to violence and was linked to the deaths of security personnel. Once again, the group, whose past remains controversial, is attempting to bring Azad Kashmir into the international spotlight through a protest that could potentially turn violent. In such a situation, the state may be compelled to act to protect public property, increasing the likelihood of clashes. Such incidents could then be exploited by certain Indian-backed international media outlets.
Viewed within the broader geopolitical context, several questions remain regarding the role of JK-JAAC in creating unrest in Azad Kashmir. India’s information warfare apparatus is actively exploiting both the internal situation in Azad Kashmir and the ban on JK-JAAC.
