KPK govt to launch special youth programmes

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would start special youth programmes in the province during financial year budget 2014-15, the advisor to the chief minister for sports, tourism and youth affairs Malik Amjad Afridi said.

An amount of Rs30 million will be spent on different infrastructure projects and construction of sports stadium in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the advisor said while inaugurating construction work of the pavilion of Qayyum Sports Complex Peshawar.

The advisor said that the pavilion would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs1.64 million within a year, adding that this pavilion would be made as per international standard where all modern facilities would be available for sports lovers.

Afridi further said that a basketball court would also be completed and opened for sportsmen soon.
