LANDI KOTAL: Re-polling is in progress at 21 polling stations of Khyber Agency’s National Assembly constituency NA-46 amid tight security.

Polling in the constituency was postponed due to irregularities in voter lists and riots in the area.

Strict security measures have been taken to conduct the exercise in a peaceful and transparent manner. Levies and FC personnel have been posted on polling stations.

In view of terror threats‚ Torkham Border has been closed, officials said.

Reports said 24 candidates are in the fray as tough competition is expected between three independent candidates. PML-N candidate Sohail Afridi has boycotted the polls over some reservation.

The polling process will continue till 5 pm.
