Islamabad, Pakistan: 21 century terrorism is based on a mindset irrespective of social backgrounds of terrorists therefore this kind of terrorism is spreading from Brussels to Lahore.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore blast indicates that war against terrorism is yet not over and this war can be won only by promoting true face of Islam that ensures peace, interfaith harmony and philosophy of coexistence.

Punjab government and people of Lahore effectively dealt with situation that arose after Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore blast on March 27.

Action against terrorists were already underway in South of Punjab and top terrorists belonging to two banned outfits were killed in Lodhran town in a operation just two days before Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore blast.

These were observation of participants in one of the most popular PTV Current Affairs show “Khabar Kay Sath Sath” hosted and anchored by Naheed Chaudhary while senior journalists Tariq Mehmood Chaudhary, Rana Qaisar and Agha Iqrar Haroon were present as experts.

Participants said that brainless and ruthless terrorists targeted children and women in recreational park of same vicinity where two suicide blasts took place in past when Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed over 90 persons mostly women in Moon Market and then killed over 25 persons mostly women again in Moon Market.

Participants were of the opinion that coward acts of terrorism cannot weaken resolve of people of Pakistan and reaction to people of Lahore to flood hospitals for blood donation testified that terrorists could never be successful to scare this nation.

Participants lauded Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif who held a special meeting in Lahore and gave clear instructions to concerned institutions to bring terrorists and their facilitators to book where ever they are.

Participants also appreciated the role of armed forces of Pakistan for their sacrifices to fight out terrorism in Zarb-e-Azb operation and decision of Pakistan Army to clean South of Punjab from terrorism with full power and swing.

Participants were of the view that there was dire need of vigilance showed by society to fight out terrorism and society must keep an eye on all elements related to terrorism because such vigilance of society will help mission of government in uprooting this menace of terrorism completely.

Participants added that Pakistan as a nation is trying to fight extremism, sectarianism to bring back a normal society. They were of the view that narrative of Jihadism that was injected in Pakistani society around 35 year ago had shaken the foundation of society that brought only intolerance, divide and terrorism and was eating Pakistani society as a monster.

Participants were of the opinion that due to firm resolve of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and efforts by law enforcing agencies (LEAs), terrorism registered a significant decline in last three years across the country. They said that operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched to eliminate terrorists with full political backing and ownership of the people and the operation has achieved its major objectives but the mission would continue till complete eradication of terrorism from the country.

Participants of talk show Khabar Kay Sath Sath on March 28 said that terrorists have been deprived of their hideouts, training camps and infrastructure and now their remnants are attacking soft targets like educational institutions, public places and recreation areas.

It may be mentioned that Khabar Kay Sath Sath on March 28 was a special show regarding a deadly suicide blast which ripped through Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore on Sunday evening, killing at least 72 persons including women and children and injuring over 300 others.
