ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement and target the civilian population along the Line of Control (LoC), and injured another three-year-old girl on August 14.
The girl named Zulekha was a resident of Village Tejian and she sustained serious injuries when the Indian forces opened indiscriminate and unprovoked firing in the Dhudhnial Sector of the LoC.
To register Pakistan’s strong protest over the ceasefire violations by the Indian forces, a senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Saturday.
The Indian forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons.
In 2020, India has committed more than 1,980 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 16 martyrdom and serious injuries to 161 innocent civilians.
Meanwhile, Kashmiris on both sides of the LoC and the World are observing the Indian Independence Day as Black Day and a complete shutdown is being observed in the Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The call for the strike was given by the veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum, and supported by almost all Hurriyat leaders and organizations.
