BRASILIA, Brazil: The Pakistani Community in Brazil held a protest march from the Brazilian Parliament (National Congress) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brasilia on October 27 to mark the Kashmir Black Day.

The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the atrocities perpetrated by the Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

They were also chanting slogans in favour of Kashmiris and demanding the International Community to fulfill its promise of providing the people in IIOJK their due rights.

Separately, the Embassy of Pakistani in Brasilia also organized a lunch for the Brazilian media representatives and journalists to brief them on serious human rights violations and state-sponsored terrorism by India in the Occupied Valley.

The Kashmir Black Day was observed on October 27 by the Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and the world to convey to the International Community that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their motherland.

The Day is annually observed to commemorate the invasion and occupation of the Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian troops on October 27, 1947 in total violation of the essence of the subcontinent’s partition plan and against the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
