KashmirKashmir dispute an important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the Kashmir dispute is an important pillar of our foreign policy, and Pakistan will continue to extend moral, diplomatic, and political support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.

The foreign minister made these remarks in a meeting with the Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Self-determination Movement-International Raja Najabat Hussain who met him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and threats looming over the region.

Talking to Raja Najabat Hussain, Qureshi said that Pakistan continues to raise the voice for oppressed Kashmiri people at all international forums including the United Nations, European Union (EU), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Human Rights Organizations.

Alluding to the Indian atrocities on Kashmiri people, the foreign minister said that all the Kashmiris have rejected the illegal and unilateral steps of August 5 last year.
