Cathay Pacific cancels all its flights to Karachi

HONG KONG: Following the two consecutive militant attacks on Karachi airport, the Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd has announced cancellation of its all flights to Karachi from Bangkok.

“In view of the situation at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Cathay Pacific is reviewing and assessing the safety status of the airport,” the airline said on its website on Wednesday.

The airline said that its flights from Bangkok to Karachi on Wednesday and Karachi to Bangkok on Thursday has been cancelled.

“We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Customers are recommended to check flight status before departing for the airport,” the airline said.
