ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Friday launched the Kamyab Jawan Programme Portal to provide people access to details of loans distributed under the programme.

Launching the Portal along with Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib at a News Conference in Islamabad on Friday, Usman Dar said that the entire detail of the progress in the programme has been provided in the portal for everyone to know the facts.

   

While giving details of the program, the special assistant said that about Rs 22 billion have so far been distributed on merit among the deserving youth for small businesses. He said that these business loans have also created over 28,000 jobs.

The special assistant said that Prime Minister Imran Khan allocated Rs 100 billion for the Kamyab Jawan Programme with the aim to uplift the poor segment of the society.

Usman Dar said that over 664,000 applications have so far been rejected mainly because of providing incorrect details of age and having no concrete business plans. He said that about 25,000 applications are received every month.

Usman Dar said that the government would launch a historic Kamyab Pakistan Programme on Monday next under which interest-free loans up to Rs 500,000 will be provided. He also said that there is no age limit for the mentioned loans.

Sharing details of the programme, he said that skilled people would be given priority to uplift their living standards.

In his remarks, Farrukh Habib said that a mechanism is being developed for the journalists to benefit from the programme as well.
