SWABI, Pakistan: Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Swabi district, Maulana Ataullah Haq Darwaish here Monday accused Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf for using delaying tactics in transfer of powers to the elected representatives of Local Government.

He said LG elections was held by PTI led government in the light of orders of Supreme Court and under the arrangements of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), therefore, it was the responsibility of the KP government to immediately transfer powers to LG representatives for betterment of masses.

He also urged Supreme Court and ECP to take notice of this important matter and issued orders to PTI led government to immediately shift powers to elected LG representatives without further delay.

Darwaish expressed these views while addressing a dinner function held in his honour by party workers at Union Council Ismailia in Swabi district.  Convener Tehsil Council Razar Hafiz Bilal and other office bearers also addressed.

Inspite of lapse of four months period, even simple issues like rules of business and release of developmental funds were not addressed by the PTI led government resultantly problems of masses have increased in KP manifold.

“Having high expectations, the people are coming to LG representatives for resolution of their problems but due to unavailability of funds and in the absence of rules of business for local government they are unable to address those issues and resultantly people are losing their confidence in the local government system,” he added.

He said Imran Khan’s dream of becoming the prime minister would not be fulfilled in his entire life, adding the defeat of PTI candidate in Lahore was an eye opener for Imran Khan.

He said it would be better if Imran Khan should focus on resolutions of peoples’ problems in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and asked PTI government to immediately shift powers to LG representatives for addressal of masses problems at their doorsteps as promised by him.
