Judicial commission recommends Justice Fasihul Mulk as PHC chief justice

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission on Monday recommended appointment of senior most judge of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Fasihul Mulk as Chief Justice of the provincial court.

   

A meeting of the judicial commission was held in Islamabad on Monday with Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani in the chair.

The judicial commission also recommended Chief Justice PHC Justice Dost Muhammad Khan as judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The meeting of the commission was also attended by Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Heritage Pervaiz Rashid, who also holds an additional charge of the ministry of law and justice commission, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak, Attorney Gerneral Munir A Malik and members of the commission.

With induction of Justice Dost Muhammad Khan as a Supreme Court judge, the total number of the apex court judges including Chief Justice Jillani, has reached 17.
