The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is inviting applications for permanent OG-3 positions in the Information Technology Operations Department (ITOD) based in Karachi.
The applications are open for the following permanent OG-3 positions:
- Senior Application Developer (OG-3)
- Senior Network Security Engineer (OG-3)

Senior Application Developer (OG-3)
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
Minimum 16 years of education in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized or reputable foreign institution.
Age:
Maximum 35 years, as on the date of advertisement. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional qualification and/or experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of application software development experience in Dot Net/Java/Oracle Apex/PHP Applications and C-Sharp Frameworks.
- Knowledge of Databases like Oracle/DB2/SQL Server/ MySQL / PostgreSQL/ NoSQL.
- Working experience of Developing and implementing end-to-end Enterprise Web applications.
Working knowledge of application integration services e.g. REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.
- Candidates with API Gateways and Enterprise Service Bus implementation experience will be given preference.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Senior Network Security Engineer (OG-3)
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or reputable foreign institutions.
Must have CCNA and CCNP Security Certification.
Age:
Maximum 35 years, as on the date of advertisement. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional qualification and/or experience.
Experience:
At least five (5) years post qualification experience in overseeing operations of Networks Security.
Preference will be given to candidates having hands on experience of configuration and management of enterprise firewalls and gateway devices, administration and management of Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) and hands on experience on Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewalls.
Executive Support Engineer (OG-3)
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or reputable foreign institutions.
Age:
Maximum 35 years, as on the date of advertisement. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional qualification and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in providing IT Support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex technology concepts into simple terms.
- Good understating of client based operating systems and networking technologies.
