Islamabad, Pakistan: JIT has summoned 16 PTI members involved in negative propaganda against the country.

These people were issued notices to appear before the JIT on March 18, 2025. The 16 people summoned by the JIT include Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal and Muhammad Hammad Azhar. Those who received summons notices include Aun Abbas, Muhammad Shahbaz Shabbir, Waqas Akram and Taimur Saleem Khan.
Summons notices have also been issued to Sibghatullah Virk, Azhar Mashwani, Muhammad Noman Afzal, Jibran Ilyas, Salman Raza, Zulfi Bukhari, Musa Virk and Ali Malik
PTI Barrister Gohar Rauf Hassan and Shah Farman have appeared before the JIT. On March 14, 2025, Aleema Khan, the sister of the founder of PTI, did not appear despite being summoned. The JIT has now issued a summons notice to Aleema Khan on March 19. The JIT is investigating all these people in the light of evidence. Investigation is being conducted against these people about anti-state propaganda. It may be recalled that the JIT was constituted under Section 30 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, by notification F.No.8/9/2024-FIA/. The notices have warned all these people to explain their position on the matter.
