Israeli offensive in Gaza continues as Palestinian death toll rose to 472

GAZA CITY: At least 34 more Palestinians were killed early Monday by Israeli forces in the Gaza strip, taking the total of number of Palestinians killed so far since Israel launched military offensive against Gaza on July 8 to 472.

More than 3,000 Palestinians have also been injured in the Israeli military strikes.

On Sunday, more than 100 persons were killed across Gaza with more than 70 of the fatalities being residents of the Shejaiya district in eastern Gaza.

The Emergency services spokesman for the Gaza Strip Ashraf al-Qudra said that 80 percent of them were “old men, women and children,” adding that at least 400 others were injured in the area.
