LAHORE, Pakistan: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday reviewed overall performance of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Corporation to bring it at par with international standards and further improve its credibility.

Board of Directors of the national flag carrier, including Prime Minister’s Special Assistan on Aviation Shujaat Azeem, PM’s Special Assistant on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Secretary Irfan Elahi and the PIA Chairman Naseer Jaffer held a meeting with the federal finance minister here at 90-Shahra Qauid-i-Azam.

   

During the meeting, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was briefed about the overall performance of the PIA and the Board members also presented him various suggestions to further improve facilities for air-passengers. Financial matters of the national flag carrier were also come under discussion.

The meeting expressed the resolve to make the PIA in consonance with international standards and further improve its credibility.
