Intermittent rain continues in various parts of country, two killed by lightning
RAWALPINDI: A lightning strike killed two persons in the area of Kahuta near Rawalpindi on Monday.

The media reports said that two residents belonging to the Kahuta district went searching for employment on motorcycles when due to heavy rain they sought shelter under a tree. However, unfortunately lightning struck them killing both on the spot.

   

The dead bodies were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Kahuta.

Meanwhile, various parts of the country have been receiving intermittent rain since last night.

The Met Office said that Malam Jaba received 37 millimeter, Kakool and Balakot 21, Muzaffarabad 20, Dir 16, Saadu Sharif 15, Rawalpindi 13 and, Islamabad 12.

In the next 24 hours, scattered rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds and dust-storm is expected in Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Upper Punjab while at isolated places in Bannu, D.I khan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur divisions and Gilgit- Baltistan.
