Infuriated Hujjaj besiege religious minister over poor arrangements

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Enraged Hujjaj (pilgrims) besieged the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf in Makkah, and protested over insufficient arrangements during Hajj.

As per Daily Express, Sardar Yousaf along with the Minister of State for Religious Affairs Pir Aminul Hasnat was in Makkah where infuriated Hujjaj besieged him and raised slogans against the religious ministry.

Hujjaj lambasted the religious affairs minister, complaining that they had been left in a limbo during Hajj. They said they had not been provided adequate residence, transport and health facilities.

Pilgrims complained that from Mina to Muzdalfa, they had to face immense difficulties. They said Muallimeen (Guides) mistreated them but even the ministry was seen nowhere.

Infuriated Hujjaj even didn’t let the religious minister speak who was endeavoring to pacify them, and sought his justification over mistreatment and persecution of pilgrims.

Pilgrims also protested that either Hujjaj went to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalfa on foot or arranged transport by themselves. They said they requested for an ambulance but even that didn’t arrive ever.

The religious minister said they had better arrangements while which arrangements were missing on the part of the Saudi government, they had apprised the authorities about them.

The minister informed pilgrims that those who didn’t receive transport facilities, would get their money refunded. He also assured culprits would not be spared.
