School bus collides with train in southern India, 20 students killed

HYDERABAD, India: A school bus carrying 33 students collided with a train at a railway crossing in Indian state of Telangana on Thursday that left at least 20 students dead and 10 others injured.

The accident took place at Masyapet in Veldurti mandal of Telangana’s Medak district, about 70 kilometers from Hyderabad.

The district officials fear the toll could rise as many of the injured are in a critical condition.
