Pakistan will never accept India's supremacy, hegemony: Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The prime minister’s adviser on national security and foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan will never accept India’s supremacy and hegemony, and protect its vital interests at all costs.

In an interview with a PTV programme, the adviser said that Pakistan has the capability to thwart any aggression and India should have no doubt in this regard.

Sartaj Aziz said that at the moment he does not see friendly ties with India but Pakistan will do its best to keep the relations normalized as both the countries cannot afford escalation of tensions.

The prime minister’s adviser said that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to normalize ties with Pakistan on his terms which is not acceptable to the government as well as the nation.

The adviser said that the Indian insistence that Pakistan should forget Kashmir, is not acceptable.

Moreover, he hoped that India will realize soon that tension will tarnish its image at international level as the world is already disappointed over the cancellation of foreign secretaries meeting.
