LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan-India border trade has been closed for three days following a suicide blast that occurred near the Wagah border on Sunday, claiming nearly 60 lives.

The reports said that truck drivers has been asked not to come to Wagah border for next three days due to yesterday’s blast.

On the other hand, the security forces found an explosive device which was planted in the parking area at the Wagah Border during a search operation. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called to the site and they successfully defused the Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

Meanwhile, an initial report of the Wagah Border blast was submitted to the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The chief minister ordered to form a joint investigation team to probe the incident.

At least 60 persons including three Rangers personnel were killed while over 100 others sustained injuries in a suicide attack near the Wagah border on Sunday evening.

The outlawed Jundullah and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)-affiliated Jamaat-ul-Ahrar outfits separately claimed responsibility for the blast near the Wagah border.
