Massive floods are expected in Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and India during late July to early September

Islamabad: Massive floods are expected in Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and India during late July to early September because of massive meltdown of ice/snow, report organizations observing El Niño event.

It may be mentioned that Meteorological Organization (WMO) suggests countries to take measures to deal with situation because arrival of El Niño is mostly associated with the regional-scale drought and flood situations in different parts of the world and has a warming influence on global average surface temperatures.
