New Delhi, India: Making strategic partnership further stronger, India and Uzbekistan have agreed visa-free entry for diplomats while Indians are already enjoying e.visa regime with Central Asian republic of Uzbekistan.
While citing official sources of Ministry of External Affairs, Indian electronic media reported that agreement between India and Uzbekistan will help to quickly resolve issues during the mutual visits of official representatives of the two countries.
Media reports said that holders of Indian diplomatic passports will have right to enter, leave and stay in Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 60 days.
India and Uzbekistan enjoy strategic relations as New Delhi considers Tashkent as gateway for Central Asia.
It is pertinent to mention that both countries are members of SCO and Tashkent this year hosted Central Asia Dialogue for India in Samarkand.
Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, India and Afghanistan attended this historic event.
Indian Diplomacy gives a special position to Uzbekistan and both the countries are helping each other at international forums.
