ISLAMABAD: India will soon test Agni-VI with multiple nuclear warheads, reports Dispatch News Desk (DND)

Last year India launched Agni-V, which has a range of more than 5,000 km. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched Agni-I, II, III, IV and V, and the submarine-launched K-15 and its land-based version Shourya — can carry only single nuclear warhead. The DRDO’s tactical missiles and supersonic cruise missile BrahMos can carry one conventional warhead each.

Agni-VI is an intercontinental ballistic missile reported to be in very rudimentary stages of development by DRDO. It is reported to be the latest and most advanced version among the Agni missiles. Capable of being launched from submarines or from land, it will be able to strike a target at a distance of 8,000–10,000 km with up to 10 MIRVed warheads.
