NEW DELHI, India: At least 10 persons including five women lost their lives while dozens of others sustained injuries when a stampede took place at a temple in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
The police control room official Vinay Kumar Singh said that the incident occurred when Hindu pilgrims gathered at the temple in Chitrakoot area for a religious ritual called the Somvati Amavasya.
