PESHAWAR: A remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) blast took place near a vehicle of the security forces in Chamarkand area of Mohmand agency on Saturday, killing a Pakistan army soldier and injuring two others.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the incident and also said that the vehicle was destroyed in the explosion.

Meanwhile, two security personnel were injured when an explosive device planted by the militants went off near Shinkayari area of Mansehra district on Saturday morning.

The blast occurred when a convoy of the security forces was passing through the area

The injured were shifted to the Shinkayari Hospital.
