The Automotive Development Policy (ADP) 2016-21 is about to expire in June 2021. It has encouraged the automotive companies to launch their latest models in the local market as soon as they can. It is so because of the uncertainty in the new policies. According to the sources, Hyundai Nishat is coming up with another great hit. We can now expect the Hyundai Elantra to launch in Pakistan pretty soon. The latest sedan is a long-awaited variant from the company.

Hyundai Elantra to Launch in Pakistan

The news of Hyundai Elantra to launch in Pakistan is huge for all the competitors. Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Mazda 3 are considered as the major competitors in the international market. The company is almost set to start the sale in the year 2021 in the local market. The vehicle was revealed in PAPS Autoshow in Lahore at the beginning of 2020. It was expected to be launched by the end of the year. But it was, unfortunately, not launched because of the pandemic situation. The car will be available in the market from 2021.

Other Features and Safety Options

Other convenience features that can be found in the car are Hyundai Bluelink Connectivity, Wireless phone charging, Automatic Climate Control, 10-way Adjustable Power Seats, Ventilated front seats, and many other features. All these conveniences will be available for the passengers to enjoy their ride.

The convenience of the passenger is not the only concern of Hyundai. Owing to the competitive market, the company has worked on the safety features to make the car safe and secure to drive. The safety features that are integrated are Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assistance, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, Impact, and Speed Sensing auto door locks, Parking Sensor with rear-mounted Camera, Six Airbags, Cruise Control, Emergency Stop Signals, Burglar Alarm, 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, Immobilizer system, and Child Lock. All these features are installed so that the drivers can drive safely and freely around. These features keep the passengers safe from any kind of mishappening on the road.

The car is not officially launched in Pakistan. It was only revealed in the show but the launch was prolonged because of a pandemic. So the price is not confirmed as of yet. However, the price in the international market costs between $1800 to $2400. The price may vary according to the trim or powertrain of the vehicle. According to international price, it can cost between Rs2.8 million and Rs3.5 million in Pakistan. It can also vary because of the exchange rate. This car is a competition for the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. We can expect the cost to be around Rs. 4 million in the local market. This uncertainty in the price can give no guess about the success that the new Hyundai Elantra can make in the Pakistani market despite its bolder new look and enriched features.
