Declutter and Prioritize

Home Makeover

The first step towards a home makeover on a budget is to declutter your space by removing all the unnecessary items. Remove all the unimportant things from your living space that affect the visual appearance of your space. Prioritize things that you need in your everyday life and are worth keeping in the living space.

Moreover, if there are things that are only cluttering your space and you don’t need them regularly, you can give them away or put them in the storage rooms. To help declutter and enhance your visual appearance, you can buy simple storage baskets, bins, or wall hangings that match the interior of your home. This tip will declutter your home and give it a tidy and visually appealing look.

Use Vertical Space

Home Makeover

Our vertical spaces for floor-to-ceiling storage solutions are within the same budget as your usual storage solutions. Spreading your storage racks, shelves or cupboards horizontally on the floor makes the area look crowded. So, heighten your bookshelves and cupboards to the floor so there is more walking space around your home and it looks bigger and more functional.

Integrate Built-in Furniture

Home Makeover

While giving your home a makeover, you need to utilize the maximum space. The best tip for it is to use built-in furniture like shelves, cabinets, and seating areas. For kids’ rooms, you can also try built-in beds and study areas for efficient space utilisation. The integrated furniture in the construction like shelves and cabinets does not occupy any space and grants an appealing and unique ambience to your home while providing additional storage.

Use Modular Furniture

Home Makeover

Modular furniture is becoming trendy nowadays. Modular furniture offers versatility by allowing you to use it for multi-function. When rearranging or furnishing a new home, try to buy furniture that can be detached, attached, or extended to serve multiple purposes. Some examples are modular sofas that turn into beds or modular dining tables that can be attached for compact interior design.

Buy Furniture with Storage

Space saving furniture

Why waste your space with large unappealing metal trunks when you can buy furniture with storage? Buying furniture with storage is one of the best tips for space-saving and cost-efficient home makeovers. Some essential furniture items that are needed today are ottoman sofas and couches, under-bed drawers, and tables with hidden storage. Once you replace your huge old space occupying traditional furniture, you can step into a world of sophistication and style with minimalism.

Buy Foldable and Stackable Items

Home Makeover

Need a lifesaver tip for a space-saving home makeover? You need to buy foldable and stackable items in your home. Rather than buying space-occupying furniture, you should invest in stackable or foldable chairs, stools, dining tables, coffee tables, etc to maximize space utilization. You can unstack or unfold them when you need them and put them back to their compact size when you are done using them. This way, your small living space can be put to maximum use.

Invest in Minimalist Furniture

You don’t need those expensive traditional bed sets or sofa sets in your home. Minimalistic furniture is in trend nowadays. You can add simple and sophisticated furniture to your home to optimise the interior. However, the sleek design provides a functional and decluttered space to your home.

Use Walls for Decoration

DIY Wall decor

Walls are often ignored of their potential while decorating living spaces. We usually try to fill in all corners and nooks with decoration items that do not decorate but clutter the space and look visually unappealing. If you have a small space, you should try walls as your decorating canvas. Try some floating shelves, hanging decorative items or frames to hang on walls.

Use Mirrors for Optical Illusion

Room decoration DIY

The usage of mirrors is increasing in interior decoration nowadays. You can integrate mirrored furniture and large mirrors around your house. They look elegant and give an optical illusion of a bigger home. The reflection in the mirrors tricks the mind into perceiving space as bigger. Therefore, to make your limited space look enhanced, you should install mirrors all around your home.

Integrated Storage in Stairs

Space saving ideas

One tip for a space-saving home makeover on a budget is to integrate storage in the stairs area. Utilize the spare area under the staircase. Nowadays, you can also install cabinets in stairs steps. Moreover, the wall beside the stairs can be used for both storage and decorative purposes by using floating shelves or built-in shelves inside the wall to keep books or other essentials. It gives a smart and aesthetic look to your home.

Conclusion

Furnishing your home is not only about covering every square inch of your living space. Becasue, it is limited and makes the home look crowded and visually unappealing. To make the space more productive and efficiently utilised, you can use the stairs, walls, and multifunctional modern furniture for a space-saving home makeover. These tips can give maximum functionality. All you need is to use these tips and your creative ideas to make the most out of what you have.

Mushaal Malik seeks global community intervention to end Indian oppression in IIOJK ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of an unlawfully incarcerated senior Hurriyat Leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, stated that the supremacist Indian occupation authorities had been committing war crimes and violating international human rights with impunity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) since October 27, 1947 to perpetuate its illegitimate occupation on Kashmir. Speaking at a Kashmir solidarity rally taken out in Islamabad to mark Kashmir Black Day, she said that the people of Kashmir had been enduring the tyrannies of Hindutva regime during the past 77 years but these oppressions and coercive tactics could not dampen their courage. Mushaal, who is also the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, expressed serious concerns about safety and wellbeing of her jailed husband because the Indian notorious government was hell-bent to silence to most powerful voice of Kashmiri freedom struggle in a fake, fabricated and absurd case. She highlighted that the occupation authorities converted the scenic valley into a garrison city and a killing field, as even Kashmiri children could not go to school right now because parents were imprisoned for their crimes to raise voice of their right to self-determination. However, the Hurriyat leader stated that despite all these hardship and reign of terror unleashed by the brutal forces, Kashmiris remained steadfast struggling for seven decades to break the shackles of Indian slavery. Mushaal went on to say that when the people stand together, freedom can be achieved, with the people's voice, even the mightiest of tyrants can be defeated. The Hurriyat leader stated that people in the occupied valley were not even safe inside their own homes, as bodies of their leaders and loved ones were not returned to them. She highlighted the ordeal faced by Kashmiri leaders, saying Asiya Andrabi held in Tihar Jail, whose health deteriorated alarmingly in jail. She emphasized the importance of remembering this day annually, saying, “Every Pakistani stands in solidarity on this day.” Mushaal encouraged young Pakistanis to launch campaigns through social media, highlighting that Pakistan’s founding leader, Quaid-e-Azam, also placed trust in the power of youth. “You can become our powerful voice today,” she stated, urging them to remain steadfast for Kashmir. Mushaal recalled that India had resettled millions of Indian nationals in the region unlawfully to alter its demographic makeup, aiming to turn it into what she termed a mini-India. She called upon the international community to hold India accountable for its excesses in IIOJK and to support the Kashmiri people's struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. Mushaal vowed that the people of Kashmir have endured decades of oppression, but their resolve remains unbroken. However, she urged the international community and human rights organizations to shun the double-standard and take note of Indian worst human rights violations so as to resolve the Kashmir dispute once for all in accordance to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
