The Need for Online Banking

The central bank is confident that online banking will help to promote the digitization of banking services in Pakistan. Due to Covid, the need for online banking has increased so this step will ease the process. This process will execute from 31st December 2021.

State Bank of Punjab SBP’s point of view is to bring equality by adding women into the financial system. The expected move by the State Bank of Pakistan is to increase convenience for people to complete their needs rapidly and secure the basic needs in Pakistan.

The online banking facilities are National Payment System Strategy (NPSS), Instant Payment System (RAAST), Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and Roshan Digital Account (RDAs) introduction for Non-Resident Pakistans (NRPs).
