The Honda CG 125 is undoubtedly Pakistan’s most popular motorbike. Whether you love it or hate it, you just cannot deny the performance this motorbike packs. Sure, there is no change in design for the past 40 years, yet no one has even come close to replicating that classic “Honda sound”. This piece is a Honda CG125 rider review.
As a personal owner of this motorbike, you might say I may skew in favor of it. But then again, I won’t be the only one. Honda is a name of reliability in the local motorbike market. Now, even with the entry of motorbikes of the same category, it’s popularity is far from being faded. Let’s see why that is in this exclusive CG125 rider review.

Pros
Perhaps the best thing about the CG125 is it’s tremendous acceleration. The 125cc 4-Stroke OHV Air Cooled Engine packs a punch. Gear shifting is very smooth on this motorbike another factor for contributing to the acceleration. It offers a smooth ride due to good suspension and a comfortable seat. Spoked wheels come in handy as road conditions in Pakistan are not always up to the mark. The motorbike itself is not bulky but a solid built which makes maneuvering real easy. CG125 gives a fuel economy of 35Km/L. Depending on how one drives, it can be stretched to 40Km/L.
Also, Honda CG125 is great option if you are a grease monkey and have a thing for customizing motorbikes.
Cons
Since CG125 is not bulky after having a high performing engine, it can get tricky to handle the vehicle in high-speed situations. But the only major drawback of this motorbike is the drum breaks at the front tire. It makes braking less effective against a powerful engine. Although Honda’s latest variant, CG125F, compensates all these factors.
Final Thoughts
Honda CG125 is a high performing, reliable motorbike. Like any machine, it’s not perfect but it’s not far being perfect. I mean, you can ask any street racer and their top pick will be CG125 but we are not here to promote that.
No matter what motorbike you ride, it’s always more fun when you ride safely and responsibly.
