Honda CG125 is the most popular motorbike by Atlas Honda. Due to it’s reliability, easy maintenance and readily available parts.

Honda CG1 25 has a Euro 2-complied overhead valve engine, a kick-start mechanism and a 4-speed transmission. The decoration graphics are redesigned, as well as the seat and the layout of the instrument cluster, to give this long-lasting model a refreshed appearance. It produces 11.0 horsepower (7.3kw) at 8,000rpm and 9.5 newton-meters of torque at 6,500rpm. With a fuel economy of 35-40km per liter and a maximum speed of 120km/h. The fuel tank has a capacity of 9.2 liters with 2 liters in reserve.

Another variant, CG125 SE, launched in 2019, has a 5-speed transmission instead of the original 4-speed and electric start. It is one of the few motorcycles offered by Honda in Pakistan.

Honda CG125 buying guide

Before you go ahead and purchase your new Honda CG125, here a few things to keep in check. Firstly, have a look around the model you intend to purchase. Often when one looks around, they are able to spot marks or scuffs on the paint, if any.

Make sure that a new battery pack is installed in the motorbike. Once done, turn on the ignition to check all electrical components are working fine (lights, signals, switches).

Always be sure that to get your tool kit for your motorbike. Some dealerships keep the tool kits in the inventory rather than in the compartment behind the side covers.

This tip might sound a little weird but trust me it always pays off. Before going ahead to make the purchase, hop on the motorbike and just feel it. Have a seat on it for a few minutes, move the handle bars, feel the built and your comfort on the bike. Motorbike maybe of the same model but every motorbike feels different. Try this on a few models and see which one feels right.

At the back of your booklet that comes with your motorbike, you will find a checklist prepared by Honda Atlas themselves to make sure every important aspect is checked before the purchase.

Make sure the engine and chassis number is same on the receipt as on the motorbike.
