Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125 are the most popular bikes in Pakistan because of their fuel economy and great performance. But, amidst the continuous price hikes, the bikes are getting out of people’s budgets. Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125 prices have been hiked for the third time in 2023 and the new prices are implemented from 3rd March 2023. Most probably, another hike will come in April 2023 due to a lot of reasons.

Current Market Situation

Due to the rising instability in the Pakistani economy, the manufacturers are forced to increase the prices in order to share the burden with customers as well. Although Atlas Honda manufactures the bikes locally in Pakistan, it has to import certain raw materials in Pakistan. But, the constant fluctuation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar is increasing the cost of manufacturing.

Therefore, to cover up the costs, Atlas Honda is hiking up prices as a response to the continuous devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. Another major reason for the price increase is the loss of sales. Customers are losing their purchasing power to growing inflation in Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has increased taxes and energy prices to meet the loan conditions of the International Monetary Fund.

As a result, the buyers do not have enough confidence in purchasing Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125. They are shifting to cheaper alternatives for commuting like buying other from other local vendors like Road Price, Ravi, or Pak Hero because they are more affordable. People are also shifting to electric bikes due to soaring fuel prices.

While there is low demand in Pakistan, there is a high incoming demand from Afghanistan. Therefore, to make more profits, the company has increased Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125 prices in Pakistan as well. The demand from Afghanistan does not seem to lower any time soon so the prices are also not likely to come down.

Will Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125 prices go up in April?

Thus, the above-mentioned reasons for the previous price hikes are not going to be better in the near future. So, it is expected that the prices of the Honda motorbikes will likely go up in April again. Despite the price increase, Honda bikes are worth spending money on due to their performance and low maintenance cost. Even if the price goes up in April, you can get easy instalment plans for Honda CD 70 and Honda CG 125.
