LAHORE: The federal government will open YouTube shortly, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed told media in Lahore on Saturday, adding that filters will be used on the video sharing website for additional protection.

Earlier this month, the information minister had announced the government had decided to restore YouTube ‘in principle’.

   

YouTube has been banned in the country for the past 404 days.
