ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari will travel to United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday to address Overseas Pakistanis’ issues since the onset of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It should be noted here that this will be the first visit after reopening of the airspace.
During the visit, Zulfikar Bukhari will hold a meeting with the Minister for Labour of UAE, the second biggest host to Overseas Pakistanis in the world.
The meeting is expected to highlight issues faced by Pakistani labour generally & specially during COVID-19.
This will be the first interaction of the UAE Labour Ministry with the representative of any Country with a large diaspora to address workforce issues & post COVID-19 reintegration plan.
Zulfikar Bukhari will also hold meetings with the Pakistani diaspora and Consulate Staff involved in the process of facilitating Overseas Pakistanis during COVID-19.
The Special Assistant will have a press interaction during his visit & meet with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Overseas Office Bearers to encourage them for their untiring services on the ground for Pakistanis in UAE during the pandemic.
Zulfikar Bukhari will also hold an interaction with the Dubai based Pakistani donors who carried out philanthropic activities and made huge contributions to help Pakistanis in UAE during the crisis.
The donors contributed thousands of dollars in cash & kind to help their countrymen in need.
The Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis will pay gratitude to them on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan & the entire nation for looking after their countrymen in the hour of need.
