KARACHI, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid visited Karachi and held a meeting with the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to discuss new National Forest Policy.

This forest policy has been approved in the Council of Common Interests (CCI) in its 13th meeting convened by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on December 15, 2016. However, it was instructed in the CCI meeting to consult all provinces for new the National Forest Policy.

In this regard, the Chief Ministers of all Provinces were written letters by the Ministry of Climate Change requesting to hold meeting with the Federal Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid for consultation on New Forest Policy.

The Federal Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid will hold meeting with rest of the Provinces for consultation on new National Forest Policy as time is confirmed by the Chief Ministers Secretariats.
