ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In his address at a Ceremony held outside the PM Secretariat in Islamabad on Friday noon to mark Kashmir Solidarity Hour, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the message from Pakistan is loud and clear that Pakistani nation will launch full struggle to win freedom for Kashmiris.

According to the DND News Agency, the Kashmir Solidarity Hour was observed across Pakistan from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm on the call of Prime Minister Imran Khan to express solidarity with the oppressed people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The prime minister said that today’s ceremony is aimed at apprising our Kashmiri brethren that we share their grief and pain and fully stand by them.

Imran Khan vowed that he being the ambassador of Kashmir will fight the case of Kashmir at every intentional forum.

Imran Khan said that another campaign will be started soon with the message to lift curfew from the Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said that during the campaign, important international figures and celebrities will be involved to raise the issue of human plight and tragedy in Occupied Kashmir at all international forums.

Mentioning the plight of Kashmiris, the prime minister said that around eight million Kashmiris are under curfew for the last four weeks with total communication blockade and shortages of food and medicines.

The prime minister regretted that response of the International Community is muted when Muslims face persecution. He urged the world to break its silence and stop India from its brutalities.

Imran Khan said that he truly believes that the trump card played by India will result into the freedom of Kashmir.

Furthermore, he said that India will be given a befitting response if it attempted to launch a false flag operation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Pakistan army is fully prepared to thwart any external aggression.

Meanwhile, the Senate of Pakistan on Friday unanimously passed a resolution strongly condemning the illegal annexation of Occupied Kashmir by India led by Narendra Modi and the RSS gang he represents.

The resolution reads that the annexation is an attempt by India to change the demography of occupied Kashmir as part of their racist and fascist agenda.

Participating in the debate on Kashmir situation, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl’s (JUI-F) lawmaker Maulana Ghafoor Haideri said that the entire nation is united on Kashmir dispute. He voiced concerns over curfew and security lockdown in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), and said that Pakistan should extend practical support to Kashmiris people.

The Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed said that Narendra Modi’s decision of annexing the Occupied Kashmir is aimed at changing the demography of the territory.

However, he added that, Modi’s decision has unified the entire Kashmiri leadership and India is also internally divided on it. He said that Kashmir freedom movement is indigenous in nature and it should remain so.

Mushahid Hussain said that we have to mobilize the International Community on the festering Kashmir dispute. He said that it is the battle of ideas and we have to engage the media, think tanks and our diaspora to effectively highlight the Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.

While condemning the Indian unilateral actions in occupied Kashmir, Nighat Mirza of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said that the Muslim Ummah should come forward in support of Kashmiri people. She said that we should send Parliamentary delegations to different capitals to apprise them about the actual situation in occupied Kashmir.
