ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the federal government will fulfil the unfinished agenda of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Talking to media after taking oath at President House in Islamabad on Friday, Marriyum said that the way the former prime minister served the people in his three tenures has no precedence in our history.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that this is the reason that Nawaz Sharif lives in hearts of the people. She said that Nawaz Sharif always upheld rule of law.
The minister urged the opposition to play their role to strengthen the federation. She said that the opposition parties have governments in the provinces and they should also contribute to development of the Country.
Marriyum said that those using social media must exercise their freedom of expression with utmost responsibility and avoid mudslinging and personal attacks.
While responding to a question about former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai, she regretted that politics is being done on the issue which must be avoided. She said that Islam gives great respect to women.
The information minister said that the allegations hurled by Ayesha Gulalai should be investigated. She said that the women parliamentary caucus will also play its role on the matter.
