Government of PakistanTruth will prevail in Panama Case, says Ishaq Dar after appearing before...

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed confidence that truth will prevail in Panama Case as all the matters of Sharif family are transparent and there is no name of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Panama Papers.

Talking to media representatives after making his first appearance before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Panama Papers Case in Islamabad on Monday, the minister said that he responded to all the queries of the investigation team and given reconciliation of each rupee.

The minister regretted that the people whose name have been disclosed in Panama Papers are doing politics and hatching conspiracies against the sitting government.

Ishaq Dar recalled that some references were fabricated in the era of Musharraf with malafide intent which, he added, were nothing but a trash. He said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has also vindicated his point.

The finance minister said that there is no case against the prime minister but only the business interests of the family are illegally being dragged into matter.

The minister said that under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Country is all set to join the club of top 20 countries in the next 12 years.

Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in all its tenures worked with utmost transparency and nobody can bring forth any irregularity and corruption scam of a single penny. He said that the PML-N has always considered the national exchequer a public trust.

In addition, Ishaq Dar said that Marriyum Nawaz is the daughter of the nation; therefore, the JIT should review its decision of summoning her in person and a questionnaire should be sent to her.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister’s younger son Hassan Nawaz also appeared before the JIT for the third time.
