ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Secretary IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has said that special steps are being taken for the development and empowerment of the youth especially women on the direction of the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque.

In a statement, the IT secretary said that youth is our valuable asset and they can play a very important role in the economic development of the Country.

The IT secretary said that the Ministry of IT & Telecom through its different programs is equipping the youth with digital skills and making them able to generate substantial income through freelancing.

Talking about National Freelancing Training Program (NFTP), he said that this program of the Ministry of IT & Telecom is aimed at to empower Country’s youth especially women, and enabling them to work through internet-based freelancing.

Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui noted that the National Freelancing Training Program is playing an important role regarding the development of the youth in the field of information technology as well as their economic prosperity.

This program is also helping reducing unemployment and to empower women to work as equal to men through freelancing thus reducing disparity, he added.
