ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and South Korea on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for employment of Pakistani workers in Korea through Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) for two years i.e. 2018-19.

The MoU was signed by the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (HRD) Pir Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD in Islamabad.

The Secretary Overseas Pakistanis & HRD Dr. Muhammad Hashim Popalzai, the Korean Ambassador in Pakistan Kwak Seong Kyu, the Managing Director OEC Dr. Amer Sheikh and other senior officers of the ministry and OEC were also present on the occasion.South Korea to hire Pakistani workers for two years

The federal minister welcomed the Korean side for giving the government of Pakistan an opportunity to send Pakistani workers to South Korea through a transparent and efficient mechanism.

In his address, the Korean ambassador appreciated the cooperation between the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD and the Ministry of Employment and Labour, Korea for employment of skilled and dedicated labour from Pakistan.

Kwak Seong Kyu expressed that this cooperation will further improve in the days to come.
