ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan has said that the construction process of a Slaughter House in the Federal Capital will begin soon.

Talking to a delegation of Jamiat-ul-Quresh in Islamabad on Wednesday, Ali Nawaz Awan said that it is unfortunate that the Citizens of Islamabad are deprived of basic facilities such as Slaughter House, and issued instructions for hiring a consultant to build the Slaughter House on a priority basis.

The Special Assistant said that in order to provide affordable and quality meat to the masses, there will be the construction of Sector-wise mini Meat Markets in Islamabad. He ensured the construction of meat markets on allotted plots as per the master plan of the CDA.

The Jamiat-ul-Quresh delegation of thanked Ali Nawaz Awan for this and hoped that he would play a central role in finalizing the welfare project.

Meanwhile, the Special Assistant also met officials from CDA, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and National Highway Authority (NHA) at the Ministry of Planning in Islamabad.

While giving a briefing on Metro Bus Service to Islamabad International Airport, Ali Nawaz Awan said that the operation of Metro Buses will be operated by the ICT administration.

Ali Nawaz Awan focused his briefing on ancillary requirements of Metro Bus Project including depot, terminal, command, and control centre. He was of the view that NHA will prepare a revised PC -I which will cover all necessary requirements including buses and requisite hardware for electronic ticketing and security surveillance.
