LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Saturday announced that Sikh Conventions would be held in Lahore and Nankana Sahib on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
While addressing a Press Conference along with the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan at Governor House in Lahore, Chaudhry Sarwar said the first such Convention would be held at Governor House in which Sikhs form all over the world would participate.

Chaudhry Sarwar said the Opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh yatrees was a historic step of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said whether there was peace or war, the Kartarpur Corridor project would be completed before the 550th Birthday Celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak.
The Punjab governor said all minorities enjoyed equal rights in Pakistan as per the Constitution. He said all out measures would be taken to safeguard the rights of minorities enabling them to perform their rituals and rites according to their faith.
